Hands-On STEM in Classrooms & Museums
Making That Matters
Ambessa's DIY flashlight kit turns any space, a classroom, a museum hall, a scout meeting or a school trip into a hands-on engineering workshop.
Participants build a real working flashlight from scratch, learning the fundamentals of circuitry and electricity not by reading about them but by doing them. Our research found a ~90% increase in science self-efficacy among participants after a single session.
Every kit your organisation purchases also funds a donated kit to a child without access to school or electricity.
We've partnered with Oxford University, MIT D-Lab, Girl Scouts of America, the Griffin Museum of Science + Industry, Chanel, and delivered workshops across the US and UK.
